Since 1952 my mom and dad, Claude and Dora Blaine Little have been in the restaurant business. They started out with a local dimestore lunch counter (as they were called in those days). Sandwiches, salads and plate lunches were on the menu and all homemade food.

My mother was a fabulous cook and loved bleu cheese dressing. She tried it everywhere we went. We loved eating out at fine restaurants, price did not matter if the food was good especially steaks and prime rib.

Mother tasted, tested and sampled and worked hard to make a bleu cheese dressing that she thought was the best. Finally she came up with what is now known as Kathryn's Cottage Bleu Cheese Dressing.

In 1968 we began serving the dressing in our steakhouse restaurant in Mooresville, N.C., The Little Kitchen. Customers drove for miles around just to eat with us and enjoy our prime rib and mother's bleu cheese dressing.

My dad believed in serving quality food at a fair price. These two items, bleu cheese dressing  and prime rib made us famous in our area of North Carolina.

Both mother and daddy are gone now, mother in 1986 and daddy in 2008. This recipe along with others is dear to my heart. It is made with the finest ingredients and  no preservatives. It was served from 1968-1995 in The Little Kitchen Mooresville,N.C. and Little's at the Beach Myrtle Beach, S.C.

We have added mother's thousand island dressing to our product line. This is very popular as well- a rich dressing with one secret ingredient that sets it apart from the rest- creamy and very tasty. Great on a wedge of lettuce.

The name Kathryn is a family name from my grandmother, myself and my daughter. Cottage comes from my background in interior design and real estate. The taste comes totally from my precious mother. Both are incredibly delicious!!!!! Each has a shelf life of 7-8 weeks and must be refrigerated. We will ship to you via an insulated container, no problem.

My husband Cliff and I make these products in a local approved kitchen and we will ship straight to your door.
